The students were terrific. I spent 2 days with them teaching about psychodynamics, psychotherapy and psychoanalysis. Using video tapes and role play we focused on four concepts intrinsic to psychoanalysis and psychodynamic counseling: (1) the dynamic unconscious (2) compromise formation (3) transference (4) countertransference. They were incredibly receptive and were readily able to apply the concepts to the video, role play and their own lives.
